I am so excited about this.  Here are the fun details:

• The story takes place in A.D. 850~ Sweden and Kaliningrad.
• Yes, there are Vikings.  There are also Old Prussian tribes of the Amber Road.
• It is epic.
• So far there are 4 novellas in the series, weighing in at approximately 160,000 words (or 300 pages, give or take).

So I've finished the rough draft for Five Photographs.  Yay!  \(^o^)/  Oh, how I wish I could make a fist-pumping smiley with basic keyboard characters.  Something like this?  (*--*)q  Or maybe it looks too "I Feel Pretty".  Oh well.

Yes, that's right!  I finally decided that I am finished with it.  (Sort of.  I mean, I'm planning to write a sequel and I'd feel even better if I already a great opening couple of chapters in mind for it, but I kinda don't.  Oh well.  It will come to me eventually!  It's not like I have publisher breaking down my neck.)

So, how's my progress been?

Darkest Shore is at 27,000 words (Chapter 4, page 48), but I'm taking a break from it this week.

At the moment, I'm proofreading Without Wings.  The cover art (by Crista Rowe) is done and beautiful.  The ebook ETA is December 1st.  The printed books will be available once I order at least one proof copy and see how the ( Read more... )

So far today, I've put The Groundskeeper of Kylemore Abbey up on Smashwords.  (Yes, that means you can download it in just about every ebook file format known to humankind.  Just like on Lulu.com, the preview of the whole story is free.)
